David Lean Cinema

Named for the director, who was born in Croydon, and housed in the borough's Clocktower. Council cuts closed it in 2011; a local campaign reopened it in 2014 and volunteers have run it since, programming classics and world cinema beside new releases.

David Lean Cinema is screening 28 films across 51 showtimes, from Saturday 5 September.
